And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Nick Fury!
The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, William Gold and Steven Brown.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fury finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Nixon fails with an attempt to clinch.
Nick Fury seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Nixon tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Fury misses with a leg kick

and Nixon counters with a single leg into guard. Fury didn't expect that.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Nixon postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Fury preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Nixon has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Fury might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Nixon kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Fury is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Nixon defends well.

Nixon throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Fury works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Fury can't keep his opponent in guard - Nixon advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Fury is trying to maintain the position but Nixon is very close to passing his half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Nixon throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Nixon connects with a nice short shot to Fury's temple.
Nixon is trying to control. Fury wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Nixon is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Fury trying to hold on to Nixon's head to control him but Nixon postures up.
Nixon scores with a couple of good hammerfists.

Fury blocking the ground and pound attempt from Nixon.
Fury is trying to get back to full guard.
Fury is trying to control but can't.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Still in half guard, Nixon seems content to control.
Nixon wants to take a breather but Fury is having none of it.
Fury throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Nixon stalling away here and it's allowed Fury to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.

Nixon keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Fury's head.
Fury trying to keep a closed guard but Nixon is proving a slippery customer.
Nixon missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.

Nixon content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Fury utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Nixon won't allow Fury to sweep him here.

Nixon wants to pass the guard but Fury is keeping the position.
Fury really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Nixon. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Fury gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Nixon missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
Nixon is pressing down on Fury's thigh, looking to free his foot. Fury is holding on for now.
Nixon not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Fury trying to hold on to Nixon's head to control him but Nixon postures up.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Nixon throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Nixon prevents Fury from improving his position.
Fury has hold of Nixon's hands but Nixon slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

David Nixon dominated that round.
That's time! Nixon's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Nice sprawl there from Fury as Nixon shoots in.
Fury misses with a combination
and Nixon counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Fury is lucky that one didn't land flush.
Fury lands with a kick to the temple. Nixon shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"


It looks like David Nixon has been cut.
Fury lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Nixon circles away quickly and effectively.
Fury throws a leg kick which misses Nixon's front leg but catches the back leg as Nixon tries to avoid it.
Fury throws a head kick that misses.
Nixon keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Fury rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Nixon moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Fury catches Nixon with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Fury throws a head kick that misses
and Nixon connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Nixon shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Fury as he avoids it easily.
Fury swings for the body but Nixon moves out of range.
Fury takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Horrible takedown by Nixon or perhaps it was just good defense by Fury which made him look bad.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for David Nixon. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Fury throws a head kick but Nixon moves out of range.
Nick Fury is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Nixon misses with a few strikes there.

Fury throws a looping overhand right but Nixon ducks down to avoid it.
Nixon tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Fury paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Nixon fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Fury is trying to break the clinch but Nixon has him pressed against the cage.
Nixon lands a body shot.
Fury misses with a hook to the ribs.
Fury wants to break free but Nixon has control.
Nixon prevents Fury from breaking the clinch.
Nixon drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Fury gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Nixon misses with a body punch.
Fury is defending well against a takedown attempt.
Fury tries to break free but Nixon pushes him back against the cage.
Nixon lands a damaging elbow.

Nixon lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Nixon obliges.
Nixon throws an elbow but it's blocked.
Nixon misses with a knee to the head.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.

Nixon breaks from the clinch.
A shot to the liver by Fury. Beautiful body shot.

Nixon closes the distance and clinches.
Fury is trying to break free.
A frustrated look appears on Fury's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Nixon scores with a knee to the head.

Fury breaks from the clinch.

Fury fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Nixon.
Fury throws a leg kick that is checked

and Nixon counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Fury!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Fury wants to hold on but Nixon pushes him away.
Nixon is in the full mount, landing strikes.
Fury is trying to escape the mount.
Nixon with shots to the head and body - Fury looks very uncomfortable down there.
Nixon lands a nice shot to the head.
The referee warns Fury that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Nixon fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Nixon pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Fury tries to lock up and control but Nixon gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Fury is looking to get to half guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Fury can do anything to dispel that myth.
Fury is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

David Nixon dominated that second round.
The cut man is working on David Nixon's cut.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!


Fury dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
A right-left combo lands from Fury.
Fury throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Nixon.
Nick Fury seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Fury is looking to land body kicks.
David Nixon is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
A leg kick checked by Nixon.
Fury slips a jab and a cross from Nixon.
Fury lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Nixon lands a high kick!

Fury misses with a head kick.
Fury thuds his right hand into Nixon's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Fury misses with a few strikes there.
Fury stuffs the takedown attempt from Nixon. Nixon gets slowly back to his feet.
Nixon on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

Fury stalks Nixon and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Nixon's face. Nixon staggers backwards, shaken.


Nixon is rocked!
Fury will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Oh Nixon is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Sloppy strikes from Nixon. Those never looked like landing.
Nixon swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Fury connects with a jab and follows up with a big overhand right! Oh that's hurt Nixon! He's out on his feet! Fury rushes in and drops Nixon with another big right hand, forcing the referee to stop the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:24 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Nick Fury!
