Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mariusz Pudzian (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Patrick McBride (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

9 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Mariusz Pudzian! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
11 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Patrick McBride! The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Andrew Berry and Steven Brown.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pudzian ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Pudzian clinches with his opponent.
McBride has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Pudzian after a bit of a struggle. Pudzian tries to score a body lock takedown but McBride shows good agility there to stay on his feet. McBride prevents a takedown attempt there.
Pudzian can't get the takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mariusz Pudzian. That's going to take a lot out of him. Pudzian is trying to drag McBride to the mat but McBride just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. McBride is trying to stall.
McBride has Pudzian pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. McBride pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Pudzian tumbling to the mat - McBride dives into Pudzian's guard. Pudzian wants to sweep but no luck. Pudzian is pulling down on McBride's head to control his posture. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. McBride throwing strikes but missing. Pudzian looking for a sweep. Not yet Pudzian, not yet. Pudzian controlling the position. McBride postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Pudzian looking for a sweep. Not yet Pudzian, not yet. Now he's in top in McBride's guard.

The fighters are battling for position here. McBride manages to regain full guard. Nice work. McBride wants to sweep here but Pudzian controlling him for the moment. That's four minutes gone in the round. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Pudzian accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. McBride trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from! Pudzian scoring with some ground and pound. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Pudzian works a leg free and moves into half guard. McBride tries to get to full guard but Pudzian has control of the leg. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Pudzian landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Pudzian has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Pudzian prevents McBride from improving his position. Pudzian passes the guard and advances to mount! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Patrick McBride will probably get the nod. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Pudzian with a lazy takedown attempt and McBride counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Pudzian stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Pudzian wants it to stay on the feet. Pudzian showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from McBride.
Pudzian will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. McBride throws the left hand but Pudzian avoids the punch easily. Pudzian fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. McBride sprawls well initially but Pudzian persists and gets the takedown into half guard. McBride is trying to maintain the position but Pudzian is very close to passing his half guard. McBride works his way to full guard. Good work. McBride is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. McBride manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Pudzian manages to get himself to full guard.

He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - McBride looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Pudzian can't hide his disappointment, as McBride celebrates the victory.
