Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Palate Menochi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jermaine Robinson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Robinson comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Madness - Our House kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Palate Menochi! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jermaine Robinson! The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Elvis Blanc and Yves DeLean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Menochi tries to clinch but Robinson moves out of range. Menochi tries to keep at a distance but Robinson has taken the fight into the clinch. Robinson wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Robinson lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Menochi throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges. Menochi wants to take the fight to the mat but Robinson manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. Menochi fails to pull guard.
Robinson escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Menochi throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Nice uppercut lands for Menochi. That snapped Robinson's head back.
Robinson scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Menochi is trying to improve his position. Robinson throwing strikes but Menochi manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control! Menochi is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Robinson has escaped the position, nice work there.
That's one minute gone in the round. Menochi wants to control but Robinson is keeping him busy. Robinson throws Menochi to one side and escapes! Robinson closes the distance and clinches. Robinson makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. Menochi has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Robinson is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Palate Menochi. That's going to take a lot out of him. Menochi is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Robinson to keep the fight standing. Menochi manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Menochi wants to sweep here but Robinson controlling him for the moment. Menochi trying to keep a closed guard but Robinson is proving a slippery customer.
Robinson wants to control from the top but Menochi keeps moving.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Menochi looking to control.
Robinson trying to control but Menochi is working from the bottom. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Robinson works a leg free and moves into half guard. Robinson thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Menochi's head. Robinson is keen to just control but Menochi is a slippery customer. This has been an exciting period of action! Menochi gets full guard. Robinson throws a big elbow that misses. Menochi is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Robinson is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Menochi lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Robinson! Menochi has hold of Robinson's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Robinson manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Robinson's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Menochi throwing shots from mount but they're not landing. A nice elbow there by Menochi. Robinson really wants to buck Menochi off and get back to his feet. Menochi looking to isolate an arm here. Robinson doesn't see it coming and as Menochi extends the arm, he's forced to tap out! Nice submission by Menochi!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:39 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Palate Menochi! Palate Menochi decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
