Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Felipe Paraventi and Paulo Santos.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pierce fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Damiao avoids it really well and circles away.
Pierce looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Pierce is trying hard to land a takedown here. Damiao sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Renato Damiao has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rafael Pierce.
Pierce shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

Pierce is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

Pierce works a leg free and moves into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Pierce drops an elbow to the side of Damiao's head.
Pierce tries to pass to full mount but Damiao defends it.
Damiao wants to improve his position but Pierce is controlling well.
Pierce is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Pierce is looking for a kimura here.
Pierce is working for a submission of some sort.
Pierce trying to pass the guard but Damiao defending well.

Pierce in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Damiao tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Pierce!
