Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Royce Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Richard Batsbak (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Royce Gracie! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Richard Batsbak! The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Winston Howard and John Mangel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gracie shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Gracie drops back looking for a leg! Batsbak is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Batsbak manages to kick Gracie off! Gracie jumps back into Batsbak's guard. Gracie trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Gracie wants to stand but Batsbak has a closed guard, so he can't escape. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Gracie pushes down on Batsbak's leg and manages to get into half guard. Gracie is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! Gracie looking for a guillotine from mount but Batsbak is having none of it. Batsbak sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though. Gracie looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Gracie is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Gracie is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Batsbak is just riding it out for now. Gracie eventually gives up the hold. Gracie is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Batsbak sees it coming and defends easily. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Batsbak tries to roll over but Gracie keeps him under control. Gracie seems to be looking for submissions.
