Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Chad Micheals (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Reece Edward Duenas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Duenas has chosen California Gurls as his entrance music. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Chad Micheals!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 7 - 1, fighting out of Hilo, Reece Edward Duenas!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Micheals looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Duenas stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Duenas wants it to stay on the feet.
Micheals misses with a double jab
and Duenas counters with a right hand to the body.
Duenas comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Micheals throws a right and a left that both miss.
Micheals misses with a shot to the body
and Duenas counters with a leg kick.
Duenas misses with a wild body shot.
Micheals thows a left - swing and a miss!
Micheals tries for a takedown but Duenas circles away easily
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Chad Micheals. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Sloppy strikes from Micheals. Those never looked like landing.
Micheals misses with a takedown attempt
and Duenas counters with a nice low kick that buckles Micheals's knee momentarily.
Micheals tries to clinch up
and Duenas counters with an inside leg kick.

Micheals changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Duenas looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Micheals throws a strike aimed at the side of Duenas's head but Duenas avoids it well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Duenas gets back to half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Micheals trying to pass the guard but Duenas defending well.
Micheals wants to take a breather but Duenas is having none of it.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Duenas moves into full guard.
Duenas looking for a sweep. Not yet Duenas, not yet.
Duenas looks gassed!
Micheals trying to control but Duenas is working from the bottom.
Duenas is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Micheals has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Duenas working for a triangle but Micheals defends it easily.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Duenas is not content to let Micheals control the position.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Duenas managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Micheals.

Micheals tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Micheals has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Duenas manages to get back to half guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Micheals is pressing down on Duenas's thigh, looking to free his foot. Duenas is holding on for now.

Micheals wants to free his trapped foot but Duenas is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Micheals seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Duenas does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Duenas makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Duenas.
Micheals wanted to stand there but Duenas had control of the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Chad Micheals will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Micheals shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Duenas counters with a nice double leg into side control. Micheals won't be happy with that.
Micheals tries to improve position but can't.
Micheals wants to get back to his feet but Duenas drags him back down.
Micheals takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
Duenas laying and praying for a moment but Micheals takes advantage and regains half guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Duenas throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Micheals keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Duenas is working for a kimura but Micheals is defending it quite comfortably.
Micheals wants to get back to his feet.
Duenas throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Micheals to regain full guard.
Duenas stopping the sweep attempt from Micheals.
Micheals trying to keep a closed guard but Duenas is proving a slippery customer.
Duenas scoring with some ground and pound.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Duenas tries to free his leg and advance position but Micheals is retaining full guard.
Micheals wants to sweep here but Duenas controlling him for the moment.
Duenas advances to half guard.
Duenas lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Micheals is trying to control but can't.
Duenas has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Micheals tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Duenas with the ground and pound from mount.
Duenas lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Micheals is bucking up trying to escape but Duenas cracks him with another couple of good strikes.


Micheals is rocked!
Duenas drops a big elbow. That's hurt Micheals! More shots from Duenas and the ref steps in! The fight is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:26 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Reece Edward Duenas!
