Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Karol Operhalski!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Dawid Goniwiecha!
The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Albert Achterberg and Wagner Zegers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Operhalski has his takedown stuffed
and Goniwiecha counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Goniwiecha fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Operhalski checks it well.
Goniwiecha closes the distance and pushes Operhalski back into the cage.
Goniwiecha pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Operhalski shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Goniwiecha pinned against the cage. Goniwiecha gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Goniwiecha works the jab nicely.
It looks like Karol Operhalski has been cut.
Operhalski looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Dawid Goniwiecha seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Operhalski has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Operhalski there as he acknowledges the shot.
Operhalski is rocked!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Operhalski gets caught by a brutal right hook which buckles his knees! Operhalski tries to backpedal with his spaghettilegs but Goniwiecha is headhunting and goes for the kill. A jab and a right hook connect and Operhalski buckles badly as his eyes roll back. The referee steps in and saves Operhalski!! Operhalski is complaining but he was clearly out on his feet. Goniwiecha throws his mouthpiece into the crowd. Mmmm spit-tastic.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:41 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Dawid Goniwiecha!
Our winner, Dawid Goniwiecha, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
