The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pechna doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Hendricks counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Hendricks works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Hendricks looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Pechna with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Pechna has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Hendricks is working away from the top position though.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Pechna tries to buck Hendricks off but Hendricks is having none of it.

Pechna is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Hendricks lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Pechna down.

Hendricks decides to take the fight back to the feet.

Pechna tries for a takedown but Hendricks circles away easily

and Hendricks counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Hendricks lands a nice short elbow.
Pechna on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Hendricks wants to lay and pray for a moment but Pechna keeps working.

Pechna has hold of Hendricks's hands but Hendricks slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Pechna is still in real trouble! Can Hendricks finish him?

Hendricks lands a big elbow from half guard. That looks like it's hurt Pechna quite badly. Pechna pulls Hendricks in close trying to recover. Hendricks postures up and lands two really hard shots that put Pechna on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but Pechna doesn't seem to be complaining too much.
