Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gim Allon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Phil DeBlunt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). DeBlunt has chosen Westside Connection - Bow Down as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
DeBlunt thuds his right hand into Allon's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
A decent looking cross lands there for DeBlunt.
DeBlunt dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

DeBlunt ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Allon moves away.

A momentary lapse in concentration from DeBlunt enables Allon to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. DeBlunt manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

Allon working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
DeBlunt is staying active underneath Allon, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

DeBlunt takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Allon shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Allon showed some decent athleticism there.
DeBlunt avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Allon.
Allon is looking to take a break and control but DeBlunt is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
DeBlunt wants to get back to his feet.
DeBlunt is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.

Gim Allon overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Allon is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. DeBlunt doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Allon.

Allon Rushes DeBlunt and starts throwing punches like they are going out of style! DeBlunt is up against the cage and has nowhere to go. Allon Piles on the pressure and DeBlunt crumples to the floor! This one is all over!
