The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Valeri Chadov and Vladimir Khabensky.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
And Pound shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Drost connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Drost lands a right hook to the body.
Drost connects with a jab.
Takedown And Pound seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
And Pound has his takedown stuffed
and Drost counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Drost thuds his right hand into And Pound's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
It looks like Takedown And Pound has been cut.
And Pound gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Drost counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Doomsday Drost has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Takedown And Pound.
And Pound looks gassed!
Drost works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Drost dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Drost digs a good hook to And Pound's body.
Drost finds And Pound's off switch, with a big overhand right that connects perfectly to the side of the head! And Pound flops back against the cage, eyes gazing into the distance. Drost lands an unnecessary shot before the referee has time to step in and end the fight. Brutal stuff but I'm sure And Pound will be OK.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:39 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Doomsday Drost!
