Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Happy Gilmore (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tayeb Taheri (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 11 - 0, fighting out of London, Tayeb Taheri!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, William Gold and Chris Edwards.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Taheri blocks a jab.
Happy Gilmore seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Taheri changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Gilmore tries to avoid it but Taheri manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Gilmore to the ground. Gilmore escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Taheri shoots in but Gilmore avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Gilmore throws a head kick but Taheri moves out of range.
Taheri slips a jab from Gilmore.
Taheri takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Taheri tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Gilmore paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Gilmore lands a jab to Taheri's midsection.
Gilmore misses with a two punch combination.
Gilmore connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
A lazy left from Gilmore finds it's target.
Gilmore wants to land a leg kick but Taheri is out of range.

Taheri walks into a stiff left hand from Gilmore.
Taheri tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Gilmore throws a hook to the side of Taheri's head but Taheri sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Taheri shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Gilmore as he jumps to the side.
Happy Gilmore has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tayeb Taheri.

Taheri closes the distance and clinches.
Taheri stalling.
Gilmore goes for a body shot but it's blocked.

Gilmore fails to land with a short punch on the inside.

Taheri breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Taheri has a takedown stuffed.
Taheri wants to clinch.
A decent looking cross lands there for Gilmore.
Gilmore throws a shot to the body.
Gilmore throws a nice looking combination but Taheri bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Gilmore misses with a looping left.

Gilmore is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Taheri's half guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Taheri wants to control but Gilmore is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Taheri makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Taheri.

Gilmore is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Taheri is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Taheri had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Gilmore defends it easily.
Gilmore knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Taheri on the ground.

Taheri is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Gilmore wants to control from the top but Taheri keeps moving.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Happy Gilmore wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Taheri on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Gilmore works the jab nicely.
Gilmore throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Gilmore connects with a nice looking jab.
Gilmore fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
A punch combination from Gilmore misses.
Good leg kick by Gilmore there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Taheri tries to clinch up but Gilmore circles away and keeps his distance.
Taheri fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Gilmore lands with a good body shot.
Gilmore fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Taheri looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Gilmore scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Gilmore looking to score a takedown here. Taheri is defending well but Gilmore drives through and ends up in Taheri's guard.

Taheri has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Gilmore should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Taheri has tightened it up now! Gilmore should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
