PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Dan McCall (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Heist Vans (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Heist Vans was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Seu Braga and Mauricio Rocha.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight stays on the outside here - Vans looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Vans lands an elbow that stopped McCall in his tracks for a moment.
McCall can't find room to land a body shot as Vans controls the action.
McCall tries to break the clinch but Vans is controlling the position.

McCall escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Vans lands a jab to the head.

McCall manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Vans on his heels. He'll look to pass Vans's guard now, I'm sure.
Dan McCall overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Vans working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. McCall doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. McCall manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

McCall stays in close to Vans's body and controls the position.

Vans is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! McCall rolls with it to try and escape but Vans cranks on the arm and McCall is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
