Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Jerry Robinson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Drako Brystov! The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Phil Schofield and Richard Clark.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Robinson fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Brystov sprawls well initially but Robinson persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Brystov tries to get to full guard but Robinson has control of the leg. Brystov keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Brystov keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Nice strikes from Robinson there. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Robinson lands a nice short elbow. Robinson will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Robinson lands with a punch from half guard. Robinson looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Brystov looking for submissions off his back. Brystov has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Robinson is working away from the top position though. Brystov looking for submissions off his back. Brystov actively working from the bottom here. Robinson lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Robinson is nestled in close to Brystov, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
That's one minute gone in the round. Robinson is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Brystov trying to control but Robinson postures up.
Robinson looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Brystov with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Robinson working Brystov over with strikes. Robinson takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Brystov has hold of Robinson's hands but Robinson slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Brystov looks gassed! Robinson working over Brystov with some ground and pound. Brystov looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Robinson moves into full mount! Brystov won't be happy about that! Robinson working the ground and pound effectively.
Brystov is rocked! Robinson postures up and throws a massive shot that knocks Brystov out cold! Two more strikes to his unconscious opponent for good luck and this one is all over! Robinson goes absolutely crazy with his corner! Wow, you can see how much that win means to him!
