Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Roy Nelson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Guntur Llaripukinen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nelson comes to the cage accompanied by My Time. Llaripukinen has chosen Elvis Presley - True Love Travels On A Gravel Road as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

8 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Roy Nelson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
12 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Guntur Llaripukinen! The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Dmitry Maklakov and Viktor Lagutenko.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A combination from Llaripukinen does no damage. Nelson avoids a punch combination nicely.
Llaripukinen throws a right and a left that Nelson avoids nicely. Llaripukinen lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Nelson circles away quickly and effectively. Nelson closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Llaripukinen dodges the ground and pound from Nelson. Nelson throws a strike aimed at the side of Llaripukinen's head but Llaripukinen avoids it well. Nelson wants to control but Llaripukinen is keeping him busy. Llaripukinen tries to bench press Nelson off him but Nelson keeps the position. Nelson is trying to ground and pound but Llaripukinen uses the momentary lack of control by Nelson to regain half guard. Nelson is trying to control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Llaripukinen is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Llaripukinen looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Nelson puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. Llaripukinen keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. This has been an exciting period of action! The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Nelson connects with a nice short shot to Llaripukinen's temple. Nelson is looking to pass Llaripukinen's guard but actually Llaripukinen recovers to full guard. Nelson works a leg free and moves into half guard. Nelson throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Nelson is keen to just control but Llaripukinen is a slippery customer.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Llaripukinen is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Nelson's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Nelson's back! Nelson covers up after taking a massive shot to the side of the head.
Nelson is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Guntur Llaripukinen hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Llaripukinen lands a slapping body shot.
This has been an exciting period of action! Llaripukinen bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Nelson's head. Nelson walks into a jab. The fight stays on the outside here - Llaripukinen looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Llaripukinen misses with the combination.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Llaripukinen throws a left and a right that both miss
and Nelson decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Llaripukinen's guard. Nelson stopping the sweep attempt from Llaripukinen. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Llaripukinen throws a right and a left that Nelson avoids nicely. Nelson drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Llaripukinen manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Nelson manages to get himself to full guard.
Guntur Llaripukinen is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Nelson looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
