Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between David Summers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and George Rose (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rose has chosen Fat by Weird Al Yankovic as his entrance music. David Summers is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, David Summers! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, George Rose! The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Donatello Bradman and Hugh Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rose throws a leg kick which misses Summers's front leg but catches the back leg as Summers tries to avoid it. Summers feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Rose working a defensive guard here.
Rose looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Rose is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Summers trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Summers wants to control from the top but Rose keeps moving. Rose controlling the position. Rose is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Summers tries to roll over but Rose keeps him under control. Summers has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Rose missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Rose is looking to take a break and control but Summers is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Summers misses with some strikes from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Summers avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Rose. Summers wants to get back to full guard. Summers is refusing to be controlled, as Rose sits in half guard. Rose throws a strike but Summers avoids it easily and moves to full guard. Rose is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Rose wants to control from the top but Summers keeps moving. Rose might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Summers kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
George Rose has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Rose throws a chopping leg kick but Summers manages to avoid taking any serious damage. Rose looks to land a combination but Summers avoids it well. Rose changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Rose takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Summers looks to score with a jab to the body but Rose is just out of range. Rose stalks Summers and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Summers's face. Summers staggers backwards, shaken. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! A leg kick checked by Rose. No luck for Summers with that takedown attempt. Rose throws a leg kick but Summers checks it. Summers swings for the body but Rose moves out of range.
Rose cracks Summers with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Rose misses with a double jab.

No joy there for Rose, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Rose lands with a nice body punch. Rose throws a right and a left that both miss. Summers swings and misses with a hook to the body.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rose throws a right and a left that Summers avoids nicely. Rose lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Summers circles away quickly and effectively. Rose looks to land a combination but Summers avoids it well. A leg kick checked by Summers. Summers shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Rose pinned against the cage. Rose gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Summers shoots for a double leg takedown but Rose sprawls well. He's pushed Summers's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for David Summers. That's going to take a lot out of him. Summers doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Summers closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Rose to the mat! Rose manages to get full guard. Summers postures up.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Summers stays in close to Rose's body and controls the position. Rose utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Rose looking for a sweep. Not yet Rose, not yet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Rose is trying to control the position but Summers postures up. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Rose wants to sweep here but Summers controlling him for the moment. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Summers throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Rose works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Summers drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Summers jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Summers won't allow Rose to get back to his feet. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Rose looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Rose trying to keep a closed guard but Summers is proving a slippery customer.
Summers won't allow Rose to sweep him here. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
George Rose dominated that round. That's time! Summers's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Rose throws a right hand that Summers ducks under and follows up with a left that Summers also avoids with ease. Summers shoots in for a takedown but Rose shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Summers throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Rose will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Summers looks to score with a jab to the body but Rose is just out of range. Summers shoots in but no luck this time. Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Summers. Rose shrugs it off though. Rose swinging wildly here.

That's one minute gone in the round. Nice straight punches there by Rose. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Rose. George Rose seems to be getting the better of the standup. Rose uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Summers.
Rose throws a low kick but Summers avoids it. Summers shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Summers prevents Rose from improving his position. The fighters are battling for position here. Rose manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Rose tries to land a sweep but no joy. Rose is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Summers passes easily into side control. Nice work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rose is looking to reverse the position. Summers is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Rose has escaped the position, nice work there. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Summers tries to land with some ground and pound but misses. Summers thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Summers wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Rose, who protects the arm well. Rose is looking to reverse the position. Rose really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Summers. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Summers throwing strikes but missing, from side control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Summers tries for a kimura but Rose is defending well. Summers is working to tighten is grip on Rose's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Rose has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Summers is really squeezing tight and eventually Rose passes out! Summers breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
