Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Keith Higham (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brick Fist (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brick Fist will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Brick Fist!
The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Roger Salmon and Paul Gruel.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Higham fails with the takedown
and Fist counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Fist pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Higham back to the cage. Fist follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.

Higham shoots in looking for a takedown but Fist manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Higham's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Higham accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Higham is looking for a triangle here but Fist uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Higham tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Fist wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Higham tries to lock up and control but Fist gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.
Higham tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!

Higham swinging wildly from the bottom but he's not landing.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Brick Fist showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Higham is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Fist is just riding it out for now. Higham eventually gives up the hold.

Higham seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Fist is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Fist wants to sweep here but Higham controlling him for the moment.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Higham got a little sloppy there for a moment and Fist has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Higham has managed to get both his arms back between Fist's legs - danger averted.
Brick Fist is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Well Fist has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
