Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between James Arkley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Justin Galindo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Galindo has chosen Boss Life as his entrance music. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, James Arkley!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Justin Galindo!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fray, Ryoma Takatsuka and Roger Salmon.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice jab there from Arkley.

Arkley closes the distance and clinches.
Arkley tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Galindo's elbow.

Galindo pulls guard successfully.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Galindo looking to hit a scissor sweep but Arkley is one step ahead there.
Arkley trying to control the position from guard on top but Galindo is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Galindo is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Arkley defends well.

Arkley seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Galindo's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Arkley fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Galindo, pushing him back against the cage.

Arkley has clasped his hands together around Galindo's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.

Galindo is looking to regain half guard here but Arkley keeps moving and retains side control.

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
James Arkley overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

James Arkley is winning the standup battle so far.
Arkley explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
Arkley moves out of range of the strikes.

Horrible takedown by Galindo or perhaps it was just good defense by Arkley which made him look bad.
Arkley lands a slapping body shot.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Arkley throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Galindo on the side of the head.


That has opened up Justin Galindo's cut even more.
Arkley throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
Arkley scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Arkley lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
BOOM! Arkley lands a beautiful left hook that drops Galindo. Galindo tries to recover but Arkley is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Galindo lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:49 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). James Arkley!
James Arkley looked relieved post fight as he said the following; 'First of all I want to thank my fans for their continued support. Second of all .. Chi-Town represent! Lastly, three Light Heavyweight titles in three Organizations baby! I need to build a new trophy case for all this gold!'.
