Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between John Dodson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and BJ Ferguson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, John Dodson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, BJ Ferguson! The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Wesley Smith and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A left lands for Dodson. Dodson connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Ferguson's hands. Ferguson circles away from the clinch attempt.
Dodson scores with a sloppy right hand. Ferguson should have avoided that one. Ferguson shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Dodson's guard. Dodson escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Ferguson gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Dodson keeping full guard, as Ferguson tries to pass. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Ferguson preventing the sweep. Dodson is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Ferguson trying to control but Dodson is working from the bottom. Dodson knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Ferguson on the ground.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dodson throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Dodson is looking for a triangle but Ferguson pushes his legs off easily.
Dodson is looking for a triangle here but Ferguson uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Dodson is breathing heavily. Ferguson happy to just control the position for now. Ferguson in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ferguson wants to control but Dodson is keeping him busy. Ferguson decides to stand back up. Ferguson steps back and let's Dodson get back to his feet. Ferguson thows a body kick. Dodson tries to catch it but that hurt him. Ferguson gets a clinch. Ferguson content to slow the pace in the clinch.
Dodson is trying to stall.
Ferguson has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Dodson is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Dodson is looking for a takedown. Dodson fails to pull guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ferguson's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Ferguson misses with a body shot.
Dodson shoots for a double leg takedown but Ferguson sprawls well. He's pushed Dodson's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for John Dodson. That's going to take a lot out of him. Dodson shoots in but no luck this time. Ferguson closes the distance and clinches. Dodson keeps control of Ferguson as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Dodson tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Ferguson smiles and moves away.
Ferguson lands a head kick. Dodson smiles back at him and beckons him forward. A combination from Ferguson does no damage. Ferguson scores with a kick to the body.
Ferguson lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Dodson circles away quickly and effectively.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ferguson connects with a body shot. Ferguson rushes Dodson and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Ferguson has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Dodson clear over his head and slammed him to the mat! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Ferguson connects with a big shot to the side of Dodson's head.
You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Ferguson has the hooks in and he's looking for a rear naked choke here. Dodson is defending well but eventually Ferguson manages to get an arm under the chin and he's locked on the RNC! Dodson has no choice but to tap now! He does! This one is all over!
