Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Haste The Day (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jorden Bautista (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jorden Bautista acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Haste The Day!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jorden Bautista!
The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Skip Squint and Summer Carpenter.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

The Day bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

The Day has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Bautista lands with a kick to the temple. The Day shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

Bautista gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows The Day to score an easy takedown into full guard.

The Day stands and steps away. Bautista gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

The Day moves into range and clinches up with Bautista.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
The Day wants to take the fight to the mat but Bautista manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
The Day has a couple of punches blocked by Bautista.

The Day has Bautista pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. The Day pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Bautista tumbling to the mat - The Day dives into Bautista's guard.

The Day changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Bautista tries to avoid it but The Day manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Bautista to the ground. Bautista escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

The Day fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Bautista sprawls well initially but The Day persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Bautista tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but The Day paws at him with a jab and circles away.

The Day decides to stand back up. The Day steps back and let's Bautista get back to his feet.

The Day throws a body punch but Bautista moves out of range.
The Day fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
The Day shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Bautista as he jumps to the side.
Bautista is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

The Day circles away from the clinch attempt.
Bautista throws a head kick that The Day semi-blocks.


The Day is rocked!
The Day shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Bautista as he avoids it easily.
Oh The Day is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

The Day swings around for an armbar but Bautista sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into The Day's guard.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Haste The Day.
I think The Day has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
