The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Doom gets caught flat footed, as Duckworth shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Duckworth forces his way into half guard.

Duckworth is looking for a kimura but Doom is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Duckworth to get the leverage.
Duckworth is taking a breather. Doom says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Duckworth is looking to advance position but Doom won't allow it.
Duckworth seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Duckworth wants to pass to mount but Doom is defending the position.

Duckworth is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Doom is just riding it out for now. Duckworth eventually gives up the hold.
