Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jason Young (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Akihito Tatsuhiko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Tatsuhiko's choice of entrance music: Save Yourself. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Jason Young!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 21 - 0, fighting out of London, Akihito Tatsuhiko!
The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Sam Margolis and James Atkins.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tatsuhiko takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Young tests Tatsuhiko's chin there with a solid looking shot.


It looks like Akihito Tatsuhiko has been cut.

Tatsuhiko shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Young manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Tatsuhiko is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Young is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Young has escaped and now he's on top!

Tatsuhiko is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Tatsuhiko wants to get back to his feet but Young is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Young tries to free his leg and advance position but Tatsuhiko is retaining full guard.
Young wants to control from the top but Tatsuhiko keeps moving.

Young looking to sit in guard and control but Tatsuhiko gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Young wants to stand but Tatsuhiko is controlling the position.
Tatsuhiko passes into half guard.

Tatsuhiko is keen to just control but Young is a slippery customer.

Tatsuhiko is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Young doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Tatsuhiko.
Tatsuhiko tries to pass the half guard into mount. Young knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Young is staying active underneath Tatsuhiko, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Tatsuhiko decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.
Good work by Tatsuhiko as he checks the leg kick.

Young wants to clinch
enabling Tatsuhiko to counter with a crisp jab.
Young keeps the fight on the outside.

Tatsuhiko is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Young is just riding it out for now. Tatsuhiko eventually gives up the hold.

Tatsuhiko wants to take a breather but Young is having none of it.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

and Tatsuhiko counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Tatsuhiko tries to clinch but Young is having none of it.
Tatsuhiko misses with a few strikes there.

Tatsuhiko closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Young throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Tatsuhiko blocks it with crossed arms.
Tatsuhiko is looking for a takedown.
Tatsuhiko gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.

Tatsuhiko is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Young pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Tatsuhiko breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Young throws a combination that misses
and Tatsuhiko counters with a two punch combo.
Tatsuhiko shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Young defends it nicely.
Jason Young has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Akihito Tatsuhiko.

Young changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Tatsuhiko fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Tatsuhiko tries to close the distance and clinch up but Young swats him away and circles back towards the center.

A left and a right from Young both land. Nice combination.

Tatsuhiko fails with a takedown attempt.
Tatsuhiko looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Tatsuhiko shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Young pinned against the cage. Young gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Tatsuhiko tries to clinch but Young moves away
and Young counters with a low kick, right behind Tatsuhiko 's knee.
Jason Young is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Tatsuhiko tries to clinch but Young is having none of it.
Young throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
A looping hook to the body misses from Young. Tatsuhiko does a little dance to reset his feet.

Young swats away the attempt to clinch by Tatsuhiko.
Tatsuhiko fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Tatsuhiko takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Tatsuhiko uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Young.
Tatsuhiko shoots in for a takedown but Young shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Jason Young is winning the standup battle so far.
Tatsuhiko tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Tatsuhiko fails to land with a series of punches.
Young lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Young.


Tatsuhiko is rocked!
A head kick by Young - that's a beauty! Tatsuhiko is out but he's somehow still standing... he's going... going... gone. Like a drunk walking down the middle of the road, the inevitable face plant follows and the delayed knockout arrives. Even Young can't help but laugh at the bizarre end to this one!
