Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ground Guru (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gracie Jitsu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the ring it seems that Ground Guru has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Ground Guru seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ground Guru!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
11 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Gracie Jitsu!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Taro Takaoka and Yukihiro Yamamoto.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Guru gets a double leg takedown into Jitsu's guard.
Guru wants to control from the top but Jitsu keeps moving.
Guru trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Jitsu has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Guru trying to control the position from guard on top but Jitsu is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Ground Guru wasn't doing enough on the ground.
A momentary lapse in concentration from Jitsu enables Guru to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Jitsu manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Jitsu wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Guru stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Jitsu swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Jitsu is trying to control the position but Guru postures up.
Jitsu is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Guru defends well.
Guru trying to move into half guard but instead Jitsu has managed to sweep!
Guru working for a triangle but Jitsu defends it easily.
Guru wants to sweep here but Jitsu controlling him for the moment.

Jitsu throws a strike but Guru rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Jitsu escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Guru gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Guru pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Jitsu is keeping the position for now.
Guru postures up.
Jitsu is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Jitsu is trying to control the position but Guru postures up.

Jitsu keeping moving, preventing Guru from controlling successfully.
Guru passes into half guard.
Jitsu wants to control but Guru is keeping busy.
Jitsu is defending against the submission attempts here by Guru.
Guru is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Jitsu doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Guru.
Jitsu wants to improve his position but Guru is controlling well.

Guru has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Jitsu defend it? Guru steps over the head and cranks it - Jitsu is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Guru!
