Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jean Montillo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Julio Salcedo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Salcedo has chosen Muse - Muscle Museum as his entrance music. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Montillo throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Montillo blocks a jab.

Salcedo lands a nice shot to the body.
Montillo looks to land a left hand but Salcedo moved out of range nicely.
Salcedo throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Salcedo swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Montillo throws a looping overhand right but Salcedo ducks down to avoid it.
Salcedo throws a right hand that Montillo ducks under and follows up with a left that Montillo also avoids with ease.
Nice takedown defense from Salcedo. No joy for Montillo on that attempt.

Montillo throws an overhand right that lands on Salcedo's shoulder, as Salcedo tries to avoid the shot.

Montillo throws a head kick that misses.
Montillo shoots in looking for a takedown but Salcedo manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Montillo's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Montillo displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Salcedo throws out the jab.
Salcedo throws out a loose jab but Montillo uses good head movement to avoid it.

Montillo fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Salcedo to the ground. Montillo is now in Salcedo's guard.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Montillo wants to control from the top but Salcedo keeps moving.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Montillo working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Salcedo doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Salcedo manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Salcedo is working Montillo over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Montillo is pinned up against the ropes taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

It looks like Jean Montillo has been cut.
Salcedo misses with a straight left.
Salcedo might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
Montillo shoots in but no luck this time.
Salcedo scores with a nice strike.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Montillo thows a body shot but no joy.
The fighters circling - Montillo throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Salcedo ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Montillo moves away.

and Salcedo counters with a nice uppercut.

Salcedo drops Montillo with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Montillo looks back up at him and smiles so Salcedo waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Montillo is rocked!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Montillo looks to land a right hand but Salcedo moved out of range.
Montillo looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Salcedo is fending him off so far but Montillo persists. Nope, Salcedo circles away and we're back to standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jean Montillo. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Salcedo connects with a superb combination that knocks Montillo out cold! The referee charges across the mat and tackles Salcedo before he can land any more shots to the unconscious Montillo!

A relieved looking Julio Salcedo thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
