Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
15 - 19 - 0, fighting out of London, Steve Rogers! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
11 - 12 - 0, fighting out of London, Martin Walter! The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Paul Tew and Phil Schofield.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rogers tries to clinch but Walter is having none of it. Rogers with a nice cross. Rogers shoots in for a takedown but Walter shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Rogers tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Rogers misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Walter throws a low kick, looking for Rogers's leg but Rogers calmly moves out of range. Rogers drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Rogers trying to control but Walter is working from the bottom. Walter wants to stand and escape but Rogers is having none of it. Rogers looking to pass the guard. Rogers missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Walter wants to stand and escape but Rogers is having none of it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rogers lands a couple of elbows. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Rogers throwing strikes from guard but Walter blocks nicely. Walter keeping moving, preventing Rogers from controlling successfully. Rogers wants to stand but Walter is controlling his posture from full guard. Walter utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Rogers wants to control from the top but Walter keeps moving. Rogers is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Walter is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Steve Rogers has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Rogers lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rogers tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Walter swivels and escapes. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Steve Rogers. That's going to take a lot out of him. Walter lands with a thumping leg kick.
The fight moves into the clinch position. Walter trying to land knees to the body.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Walter throws an elbow that misses.
Rogers jumps guard but Walter stands there with Rogers around his waist. Rogers gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Rogers pulls guard. Walter tries to stand but Rogers is controlling from the bottom. Rogers has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Rogers is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Walter tries to stand but Rogers is controlling from the bottom. Rogers bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Walter's guard.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Rogers is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Walter is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Walter has escaped and now he's on top! Rogers has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Walter off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds. Walter will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Walter stuffs the takedown. Rogers scores with a leg kick.
Rogers wants to clinch. Martin Walter is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Walter misses with a wild body shot. Walter showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Rogers.
Rogers looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Walter! This has been an exciting period of action! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Rogers misses with some ground and pound and Walter recovers position to half guard. Rogers not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Steve Rogers dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

It looks like Martin Walter has been cut. Walter connects with a right hand. Rogers shakes it off. Rogers shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Walter sprawls well. Walter wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Rogers gets slowly back to his feet. Walter takes one on the chin but seems OK.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Rogers shoots and misses and Walter counters with a left to the body. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Rogers fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Walter avoids it really well and circles away. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Walter scoring well with a low kick there.
Walter scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Rogers gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Walter counters with a good low kick that Rogers was not able to check. Walter slaps away a takedown attempt from Rogers, before circling back to the center of the mat. A telegraphed right hand from Walter misses the target. Walter misses with a body punch
and Rogers counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Rogers closes the distance and clinches. Rogers lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Walter or not.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Rogers has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Walter after a bit of a struggle. Walter tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Walter is pressed up against the cage. Rogers has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Walter down to the mat. Walter avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Walter keeps the fight on the outside. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Steve Rogers dominated that second round. The cut man is working on Martin Walter's cut. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!
Walter throws a lazy right hand but Rogers sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Rogers checks a leg kick. Steve Rogers is winning the standup battle so far. Walter misses with a double jab.
Walter uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Rogers.
Rogers scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Rogers creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots. Walter is trying to buck Rogers off. Rogers lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. Walter takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Rogers in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time. Walter parries the strikes from Rogers easily there. Rogers is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Walter to escape.

Walter is rocked! Walter takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Walter is trying to buck Rogers off. Walter is still in real trouble! Can Rogers finish him?
That's one minute gone in the round. Rogers looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Walter seems to have recovered his senses. Walter really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Rogers. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Rogers has hold of Walter's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Walter seems comfortable defending it but Rogers has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Walter is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Walter is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Rogers couldn't care less - he's delighted!
