Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Brock Lesnar!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Andy Blood!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lesnar misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Blood gets caught napping as Lesnar dives in and scores a takedown. Blood manages to retain guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Lesnar is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Blood working a defensive guard but Lesnar manages to pass into side control anyway.
Lesnar trying to control the position but Blood is working away.
Blood tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Lesnar wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Lesnar could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.

Lesnar working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Lesnar scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Blood to see if he's OK.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Lesnar looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Lesnar thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Blood on the wrong end of some ground and pound.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Blood is not content to let Lesnar control the position.
Lesnar is really struggling to control Blood but he's trying to hold on to the position.
Blood wants to get back to his feet but Lesnar drags him back down.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Lesnar postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Lesnar lands a few punches from side control.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Lesnar tries for a kimura but Blood is defending well.
Blood tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Blood really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Lesnar. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Lesnar connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Blood some visible discomfort.
Blood takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
The ground and pound from Lesnar seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
Lesnar is chipping away with strikes.
Lesnar lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Blood down.
Lesnar creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Blood is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Lesnar creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Blood sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Blood can do anything to dispel that myth.

Lesnar decides to stand back up.
Lesnar shoots in but no luck this time.
Lesnar fails with the takedown
and Blood counters with a lovely straight right hand!
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Brock Lesnar. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Lesnar fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Lesnar is breathing heavily.
Lesnar wants to clinch up but Blood keeps it at a distance.
Lesnar with a lazy takedown attempt
and Blood counters with a left and a right that stings Lesnar.
Lesnar takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Lesnar shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Blood sizes up Lesnar with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Blood stalks Lesnar and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Lesnar's face. Lesnar staggers backwards, shaken.
Blood scores with a crisp jab that stopped Lesnar in his tracks.
Blood lands a nice shot that snaps Lesnar's head back.

Blood lands a big uppercut and Lesnar crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Lesnar looks OK. Blood waves Lesnar back to his feet!


Lesnar is rocked!
Lesnar switches off momentarily and Blood cracks him with a monster right hand! Lesnar topples backwards and makes a semi conscious attempt to cover up, as Blood dives in to land one more shot, before the referee has time to call the fight. What a finish by Blood!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:32 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Andy Blood!
