The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stinkstra connects with an inside leg kick.

Pettis throws a hook to the side of Stinkstra's head but Stinkstra sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Stinkstra throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Pettis blocks it with crossed arms.

Stinkstra's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Pettis connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Stinkstra scrambles back to his feet.

Stinkstra lands a big head kick that sends Pettis tumbling to the mat! Stinkstra takes a step backwards and waves Pettis back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Pettis uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Stinkstra has time to react.
Pettis has not gone for a single takedown so far in this fight, which seems like a very strange tactic when you consider that he has the superior wrestling and BJJ.
The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.

Well Stinkstra has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
