Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Douglas Amaral (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Renato Sobral (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Douglas Amaral has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Douglas Amaral seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Renato Sobral! The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Leandro Rodrigues and Alexandre Firmino.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Amaral tries for a takedown but Sobral sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Amaral shoots in for a double leg but Sobral sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Amaral looks for a takedown but Sobral sprawls well. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Douglas Amaral. That's going to take a lot out of him. Amaral tries for a takedown but Sobral sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Sobral pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Horrible takedown by Amaral or perhaps it was just good defense by Sobral which made him look bad. An inside leg kick lands from Sobral. Amaral shoots in looking for a takedown but Sobral manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Amaral's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. A shot to the liver by Sobral. Beautiful body shot. Sobral misses the shot to the body. Amaral closes this distance looking for a takedown but Sobral circles away. No luck for Amaral with that takedown attempt. Amaral shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Sobral sprawls well. Sobral wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Amaral gets slowly back to his feet. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Sobral misses with a few strikes there.

Amaral shoots in looking for a takedown but Sobral manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Amaral's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Sobral will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Amaral shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Amaral dives in and grabs Sobral's left leg, looking for a takedown. Sobral pushes down on Amaral's head and hops out. Douglas Amaral seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Amaral blocks a head kick by Sobral.
Sobral feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Amarals jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! Sobral scores with a punch to the head. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Sobral scores with a three punch combo!
Sobral looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Renato Sobral is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Nice takedown defense from Sobral. No joy for Amaral on that attempt. Amaral dodges the punch combination from Sobral.
Amaral shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Sobral counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sobral cracks Amaral with an uppercut from hell and Amaral crumples to the canvas, he's out! Oh no, he's recovered and he's grabbed one of Sobral's legs and pulled him into guard. The ref thought about stopping it there but he's let it go - good reffing!
Amaral is rocked! We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Sobral tries to stand but Amaral is controlling from the bottom. Oh Amaral is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Sobral stands up from guard. Let's bang! Sobral throws a powerful right kick. Amaral tried to block low but the kick was high! Amaral was taken right off of his feet! Sobral jumps in to finish the job and the ref tackles him! The fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:17 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Renato Sobral!
