Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jake LaMotta (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brewster Burns (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think LaMotta might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Cavalleria Rusticana: Intermezzo. Brewster Burns has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 26 - 10 - 0, fighting out of London, Jake LaMotta!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 27 - 20 - 0, fighting out of London, Brewster Burns!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Wesley Smith and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

LaMotta closes the distance and clinches.

Burns manages to pull guard.
LaMotta controls from within his opponent's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Burns throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
Burns working a defensive guard here.
LaMotta won't allow Burns to sweep him here.
Burns looking to control but LaMotta passes into half guard.

Burns is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but LaMotta pulls his head out easily.

Burns wants to control but LaMotta is keeping busy.
Burns is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Burns slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
LaMotta stopping the sweep attempt from Burns.

LaMotta won't allow Burns to sweep him here.
Burns can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as LaMotta controls the pace.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Burns closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. LaMotta quickly recovers to half guard.

Burns wants to get back to striking at distance but LaMotta won't allow it.
Burns is trying to force a seperation but LaMotta has the dominant position.

Burns manages to pull guard.
LaMotta trying to control but Burns is working from the bottom.
Burns controls LaMotta momentarily but LaMotta frees himself.
Burns bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in LaMotta's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Burns is looking to work some ground and pound but LaMotta has wrist control.
Burns postures up in LaMotta's guard and throws a big left but LaMotta blocks it.

LaMotta seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Brewster Burns has got the better of the ground game so far.

Burns is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Burns wants to control from the top but LaMotta keeps moving.
Burns's corner is telling him to maintain position.

LaMotta is trying to control the position but Burns postures up.

It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

Burns tries to free his leg and advance position but LaMotta is retaining full guard.

Burns drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Burns jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
LaMotta has control of Burns's left arm, preventing Burns from doing any damage.
Burns loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Burns accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Burns trying to control the position from guard on top but LaMotta is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Burns is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Burns stands and throws LaMotta's legs to the side, diving into side control.

You can see the frustration on LaMotta's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

LaMotta managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Burns.

Burns goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, LaMotta has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Burns but great work by LaMotta.

Burns has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. LaMotta is working away from the top position though.

Brewster Burns comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Burns has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
