9 - 5 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Andrei Berdugo! The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Trevor Gratis and Yves DeLean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Berdugo shoots in looking for a takedown. Mckay tries to sprawl out of it but Berdugo keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Mckay manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Mckay looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Mckay scores with a nice right hand.
Mckay throws a poor cross that misses
and Berdugo counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Berdugo. Berdugo must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Berdugo avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Mckay keeping moving, preventing Berdugo from controlling successfully. Berdugo slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Mckay being controlled for a moment. Mckay regains half guard. Mckay actively working from the bottom here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mckay looking for submissions off his back. Berdugo tries to pass to full mount but Mckay defends it. Berdugo content to control rather than advance. Mckay won't allow Berdugo to pass to mount. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Mckay looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Berdugo stalling. Berdugo is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Mckay doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Berdugo. Mckay is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Berdugo pulls his head out easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mckay looking for submissions off his back. Mckay wants to sweep but Berdugo has passed to side control! Berdugo wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Mckay, who protects the arm well. Berdugo is looking to take a break and control but Mckay is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Berdugo just content to control the position. Mckay is looking to regain half guard here but Berdugo keeps moving and retains side control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mckay is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Berdugo's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Berdugo is looking for a kimura but Mckay is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Berdugo to get the leverage. Berdugo is keen to just control but Mckay is a slippery customer. Mckay looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Berdugo is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Mckay has managed to free his arm - good work. Mckay is refusing to be controlled, as Berdugo sits in half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Mckay is trying to maintain the position but Berdugo is very close to passing his half guard. Berdugo wants to control but Mckay is keeping him busy. Mckay is in trouble now - Berdugo has advanced to mount! Berdugo looking to control but Mckay is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

Mckay trying to control the position but Berdugo manages to sink in the hooks. Mckay looking very determined here, making life difficult for Berdugo.
Berdugo tightening his grip on Mckay, looking for the choke. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Berdugo working for a RNC but it's not happening just yet. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Mckay tries to roll but Berdugo sticks to his back.

Andrei Berdugo dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Mckay shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Berdugo manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Berdugo looking for a triangle here. Mckay is fighting it but it looks tight! Berdugo pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Mckay is tapping out - this one is all over!
