The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Leonardo tries for a takedown but Wolf circles away easily

and Wolf counters into the clinch. Nicely done.

Wolf breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Wolf is looking to clinch.
Wolf moves in looking to clinch but Leonardo pushes him off.
Leonardo gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Wolf counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Leonardo is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Wolf forces his way into half guard.

Wolf lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.

Wolf wants to free his trapped foot but Leonardo is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Wolf takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

The referee calls for the fighters to work.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Leonardo closes this distance looking for a takedown but Wolf circles away.

Wolf moves into the clinch.
Leonardo wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Wolf has him pressed against the cage.

Wolf seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Wolf uses his free foot to push down on Leonardo's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Leonardo.
Wolf has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Wolf breaks from Leonardo's wrist control and lands an elbow.
