Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jimmy Esperanza (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Goran Schwarzeneg (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Goran Schwarzeneg acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 21 - 20 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jimmy Esperanza!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 32 - 1, fighting out of St Petersburg, Goran Schwarzeneg!
The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Fedor Mirinova and Sergei Dronov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Esperanza has Schwarzeneg up against the cage in a clinch.

Esperanza pulls Schwarzeneg into guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Esperanza is pulling down on Schwarzeneg's head. It's preventing any offense from Schwarzeneg, at least for the moment.
Schwarzeneg must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Jimmy Esperanza.

Esperanza shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Schwarzeneg as he avoids it easily.
Esperanza lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Esperanza stalks Schwarzeneg and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Schwarzeneg's face. Schwarzeneg staggers backwards, shaken.
Esperanza scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

Esperanza stands and steps away. Schwarzeneg gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Esperanza is struggling to control the position.
The crowd are getting pretty annoyed with Esperanza for his constant stalling in the clinch and are voicing their displeasure.
Schwarzeneg's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!

Schwarzeneg is fighting off a takedown attempt but Esperanza is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Schwarzeneg to the mat. Schwarzeneg regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.


Schwarzeneg looks to land a right hand but Esperanza moved out of range.
Schwarzeneg shoots in looking for a takedown. Esperanza tries to sprawl out of it but Schwarzeneg keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Esperanza manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Well, if Esperanza is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
