Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Nicolay Matviyenko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Terrell Hayes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Nicolay Matviyenko has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Nicolay Matviyenko seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Nicolay Matviyenko! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Terrell Hayes! The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, William Gold and Phil Schofield.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Matviyenko pushes Hayes up against the cage in a clinch. Hayes is working for takedown but Matviyenko is calmly controlling the position for now. Matviyenko has Hayes pressed against the cage.
Matviyenko tries to work over Hayes's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Matviyenko throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges. Matviyenko gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. Matviyenko stands up from guard. Let's bang! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Hayes avoids a punch combination nicely.
Matviyenko closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Matviyenko postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hayes tries to bench press Matviyenko off him but Matviyenko keeps the position. Matviyenko wants to lay and pray for a moment but Hayes keeps working. The referee asks Matviyenko politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Matviyenko prefers to stall for the moment though. Hayes parries the strikes from Matviyenko easily there. Matviyenko is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Hayes to escape.
Hayes tries to bench press Matviyenko off him but Matviyenko keeps the position. Matviyenko advances nicely into full mount. Matviyenko lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Matviyenko controlling his opponent. Hayes keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Matviyenko controlling the pace for now. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Hayes is trying desperately to improve position. Matviyenko controlling his opponent.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hayes is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Matviyenko controlling from mount. Matviyenko looking to control but Hayes is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Matviyenko goes for an armbar but Hayes turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Hayes. Hayes is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Matviyenko is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Matviyenko has escaped and now he's on top! Matviyenko has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Hayes working for a triangle but Matviyenko defends it easily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Matviyenko stands up and waves to Hayes to follow him. Matviyenko moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. The fight moves into the clinch position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Nicolay Matviyenko dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Matviyenko scores with a jab to the jaw. Matviyenko instigates a clinch. Matviyenko escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Matviyenko darts in and clinches Hayes up against the cage. Matviyenko is leaning against Hayes and scores with a nice uppercut to the body. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! A shot in the inside from Matviyenko. Nice body punch from Matviyenko - that landed with a thud.
Hayes is breathing heavily. Matviyenko lands a nice uppercut. Matviyenko leaning against his opponent.
That's one minute gone in the round. A hook to the body from Matviyenko.

Matviyenko clinches with his opponent.
Matviyenko has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Hayes clear over his head and slammed him to the mat! Matviyenko working for the rear naked choke here. He's got one arm under but Hayes is defending well. A couple of punches soften him up though and Matviyenko has tightened the hold! This one could be all over! It is! Hayes taps out!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:44 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Nicolay Matviyenko!
