Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jim Beam (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sakari Nurmi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Beam comes to the cage accompanied by Hollywood Undead - Everywhere I Go. Nurmi has chosen Turisas -Take the day! as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. The key to victory for Jim Beam has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
9 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Jim Beam! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Sakari Nurmi! The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Marco Blurström and Anni Minnemäki.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Beam tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Beam throws a head kick but Nurmi moves out of range.
Nurmi tries for a takedown but Beam circles away easily and Beam counters with a head kick. Beam gets a clinch. Beam escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Beam tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target. Jim Beam seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. A slow jab from Beam misses its intended target. Beam shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down. Nurmi shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Beam is wriggling around but Nurmi manages to pass to half guard.
Nurmi thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Beam's head. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Beam tries to kick Nurmi off but Nurmi keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Nurmi is looking to advance position but Beam won't allow it. Nurmi is trying to control the action in half guard but Beam is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Beam knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Nurmi on the ground. Nurmi not landing any meaningful shots this time. Beam is trying to stand back up but Nurmi is controlling him
Nurmi seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Beam does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Nurmi has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Nurmi tries to pass the half guard into mount. Beam knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Beam avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Nurmi. Nurmi trying to pass the guard but Beam defending well.

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Beam. Beam attempts a low kick but it misses it's target. The fight stays on the outside here - Nurmi looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Beam wants to clinch up but Nurmi keeps it at a distance.

It looks like Sakari Nurmi has been cut. Nurmi connects with a solid leg kick. Nurmi uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Beam. Nurmi shoots in for a double leg but Beam sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Beam connects with the punch. Nurmi tries to close the distance and clinch but Beam swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Beam is looking to clinch but Nurmi is avoiding it.
Beam walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Nurmi checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side. Beam takes a swing at Nurmi's ribcage but misses.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Beam stuffs the takedown. Jim Beam has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sakari Nurmi. Beam throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
A low kick from Beam misses and Nurmi makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Nurmi shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Beam but Beam pushes him off and we're back to square one. Nurmi fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Nurmi thumps Beam with a low kick. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Beam misses with an uppercut
and Nurmi counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Beam! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Jim Beam will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Sakari Nurmi's cut. That's time! Beam's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Nurmi dives in and grabs Beam's left leg, looking for a takedown. Beam pushes down on Nurmi's head and hops out. Beam pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Beam throws a quick inside leg kick. Nice takedown defense from Beam. No joy for Nurmi on that attempt. Nurmi shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Beam sprawls well. Beam wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Nurmi gets slowly back to his feet. Jim Beam has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sakari Nurmi. Beam scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Beam gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Beam uses the cage to get back to his feet.

Beam fakes a jab and scores with a low kick. Beam rushes Nurmi and presses him up against the cage. Beam breaks from the clinch.
Beam attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin. Nice cross by Beam. Jim Beam is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Beam tries to clinch up but Nurmi circles away and keeps his distance. Nurmi doesn't manage to clinch there - Beam circles away.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Nurmi with a lazy takedown attempt and Beam counters with a head kick. Nurmi fails with the takedown. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Beam is looking to clinch but Nurmi is avoiding it.

Nurmi landing with the ground and pound. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Nurmi throws a strike but Beam rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Beam has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Beam tries to close the distance and clinch but Nurmi swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Beam is looking to clinch but Nurmi is avoiding it.
A head kick by Beam misses and Nurmi counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Nurmi. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Nurmi is working Beam over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Beam keeping moving, preventing Nurmi from controlling successfully. Nurmi stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Beam swivels though and keeps the full guard. Nurmi postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Nurmi drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Beam dives on top into guard. Nurmi wants to sweep here but Beam controlling him for the moment. Beam wants to stand and escape but instead Nurmi has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Beam has momentary wrist control but Nurmi slips an elbow through the middle. Nurmi stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Beam swivels though and keeps the full guard. Nurmi throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Beam works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Nurmi trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Nurmi works a leg free and moves into half guard. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Nurmi thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Beam is refusing to be controlled, as Nurmi sits in half guard. Sakari Nurmi has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Jim Beam is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Sakari Nurmi has got the better of the ground game so far. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Nurmi slips a nice elbow through Beam's hands, connecting with Beam's forehead.
And that's the end of the fight! Sakari Nurmi comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Beam has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
