Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Michael Krohn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Evan Tannur (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Krohn's entrance music is Superman Socks. A fine choice. Tannur comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Desert Rose kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! On his way into the cage it seems that Michael Krohn has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Michael Krohn seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Michael Krohn! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Evan Tannur! The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Marco Blurström and Roosa Järviläinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Krohn is trying hard to land a takedown here. Tannur sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Krohn swats away the attempt to clinch by Tannur. Tannur throws a series of punches but Krohn avoids them all with ease. Krohn closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Krohn wants to lay and pray for a moment but Tannur keeps working. Tannur is looking for a sweep. Krohn controlling the position. Tannur is not content to let Krohn control the position. Tannur is trying to get back to half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Krohn just content to control the position. Krohn tries to land with some ground and pound but misses. Krohn wants to lay and pray for a moment but Tannur keeps working. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Krohn just content to control the position.
We're going to have a standup here because Michael Krohn wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Tannur has closed the distance and engaged Krohn in a clinch.
Tannur is trying to maintain a safe position but Krohn gets an underhook and turns Tannur into the cage. Tannur is pushing Krohn up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word. Krohn wants a takedown.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Krohn misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Krohn is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage. Tannur trying to stall but Krohn improves his position.
Tannur lands with a good tight uppercut to the head. Tannur leaning his opponent against the cage. The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Evan Tannur. Tannur tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Krohn manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Krohn shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Tannur sprawls well. Tannur wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Krohn gets slowly back to his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Michael Krohn. That's going to take a lot out of him. Tannur throws a hook but Krohn blocks it. Tannur closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Krohn did well to prevent Tannur getting side control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Krohn is trying to maintain the position but Tannur is very close to passing his half guard. Tannur working the head and body with strikes. Tannur is trying to control the action in half guard but Krohn is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Krohn manages to get to full guard.
Krohn wants to sweep but no luck. Tannur wants to control from the top but Krohn keeps moving. Tannur throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Tannur stays in close to Krohn's body and controls the position. Krohn controls Tannur momentarily but Tannur frees himself.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Krohn bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Tannur's guard. Krohn passes into half guard. Krohn wants to control but Tannur is keeping him busy. Tannur trying to control from the bottom.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Krohn is pressing down on Tannur's thigh, looking to free his foot. Tannur is holding on for now. Tannur is staying active underneath Krohn, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Krohn performing his best blanket impression for a moment. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Michael Krohn has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. No luck with that takedown attempt from Krohn. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Michael Krohn will probably get the nod. That's time! Krohn's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Tannur uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Krohn. Krohn avoids a punch combination nicely.
Krohn lands a right hook to the body.
Krohn throws a front kick aimed at Tannur's knee but Tannur avoids it well. Tannur tries to close the distance and clinch up but Krohn swats him away and circles back towards the center. Krohn tries for a takedown but Tannur sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Krohn dives in and grabs Tannur's left leg, looking for a takedown. Tannur pushes down on Krohn's head and hops out. Krohn looks to score with a jab to the body but Tannur is just out of range. Tannur tries to close the distance and clinch up but Krohn swats him away and circles back towards the center. Tannur wants to clinch. Krohn misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tannur ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Krohn with a poor takedown and Tannur counters with a takedown into side control. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Michael Krohn. That's going to take a lot out of him. Tannur wants to control but Krohn is keeping him busy. Tannur has knee on belly and moves into mount. Tannur trying to control but Krohn is having none of it. Tannur sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Krohn is trying to escape the mount.
Krohn regains half guard. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Ground and pound from Tannur. Krohn is not content to let Tannur control the position. Krohn trying to hold on to Tannur's head to control him but Tannur postures up.
Krohn is looking for a sweep. Tannur is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Krohn manages to get to full guard.
Krohn tries to strike from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Krohn trying to strike off his back.
Tannur trying to control but Krohn is working from the bottom. Tannur won't allow Krohn to sweep him here. Krohn keeping moving, preventing Tannur from controlling successfully. Tannur is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. Tannur is posturing up here but Krohn has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Tannur tries to roll out but it's too tight and Tannur has to tap! Slick submission there by Krohn!
