0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Steve Smith! The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Arvi Lind and Ben Zyskovitsi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Smith avoids the body shot from Miyaguchi.
Smith pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Miyaguchi explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work. Smith gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Miyaguchi distracts Smith with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Miyaguchi is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Miyaguchi landing with the ground and pound. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Miyaguchi postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Miyaguchi drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Miyaguchi seems to have locked his on tight now - Smith screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Miyaguchi, as he picks up the win!
