10 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Miguel Fernandez! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
11 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Archie Bunker! The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Alan Glass and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Fernandez rushes Bunker and presses him up against the cage. Fernandez tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Bunker's elbow. Bunker wants a takedown but no success here.

Bunker tries for a takedown but Fernandez manages to get underhooks.
Miguel Fernandez has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Archie Bunker. Fernandez slows down the pace here.
Bunker tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Fernandez avoids it. Bunker lands a hook that snaps the head of Fernandez backwards. Fernandez gets underhooks to prevent Bunker's takedown attempt.
Bunker wants to break the clinch but can't.
Bunker tries to work over Fernandez's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Fernandez stalling.

Fernandez lands with a good tight uppercut to the head. Bunker can't find room to land a body shot as Fernandez controls the action.

Bunker has had enough of the clinch but Fernandez keeps him there for the moment. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Bunker breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bunker shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Fernandez pinned against the cage. Fernandez gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Miguel Fernandez is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Bunker checks a low kick from Fernandez. Bunker throws a hook but Fernandez blocks it. Fernandez misses with a body shot.
Bunker is trying hard to land a takedown here. Fernandez sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Fernandez fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Bunker on the side of the head. Fernandez swinging wildly here.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Bunker. Fernandez has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Fernandez there as he acknowledges the shot. Bunker wants to clinch up but Fernandez keeps it at a distance. A head kick misses from Bunker. Fernandez avoids the head kick by Bunker.
Fernandez slaps away a takedown attempt from Bunker, before circling back to the center of the mat.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Fernandez fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Bunker is out of range. Fernandez staying out of range there. Bunker tries a head kick but it misses.
Bunker throws a sloppy head kick and Fernandez moves out of range easily. Bunker goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Fernandez cracks Bunker with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. Fernandez drops Bunker with a beautiful combination! Bunker stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Fernandez is looking for the KO!
Bunker is rocked!
It looks like Archie Bunker has been cut. Bunker misses with a takedown attempt and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick. Bunker looks gassed! Bunker looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Fernandez is fending him off so far but Bunker persists. Nope, Fernandez circles away and we're back to standing. Bunker looks up at the clock. Bad move! Fernandez lands a right hand from hell, dropping Bunker. Fernandez pounces and finishes the fight with a flurry of punches and elbows.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:42 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Miguel Fernandez! Miguel Fernandez retains his light heavyweight title! In his post fight interview, Miguel Fernandez started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
