Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Miquel Mendoza (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rudy Marley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Marley has chosen The Specials - A Message To You Rudy as his entrance music. Rudy Marley will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mendoza bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Rudy Marley seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Mendoza clinches.
Mendoza gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.

It looks like Rudy Marley has been cut.
Marley looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.

Mendoza is trying to trip Marley. He has hold of a leg but Marley is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Mendoza persists though and gets the takedown into guard.

and Marley makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

Marley takes a swing at Mendoza's ribcage but misses.
Mendoza takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Marley tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Mendoza is able to avoid easily.
Mendoza uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Marley.
Marley keeps the fight on the outside.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Marley throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Mendoza sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Mendoza closes this distance looking for a takedown but Marley circles away.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
