Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jack Potatos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cody Grant (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Potatos comes into the arena with Just Another Victim by Helmet&House of Pain blaring out of the sound system. Grant has chosen Countless Backs of Sad Losers by The Jesus Lizard as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
14 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Jack Potatos! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Cody Grant! The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Illya Tyunina and Vladimir Khabensky.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Potatos displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Grant. Potatos tries to sprawl but Grant drives through with a takedown into half guard. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Potatos with the active half guard here but Grant passes nicely into side control. Potatos manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Potatos missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Potatos is trying to control the action in half guard but Grant is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Grant is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Potatos scores with a couple of nice shots. Grant is controlling Potatos's position as best he can from this difficult position. Nice strikes from Potatos there. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Potatos not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Potatos has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Grant is defending against the submission attempts here by Potatos.

Grant is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Potatos's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Potatos's back! Grant tries to get the hooks in deep but Potatos pushed the leg off. Grant is trying to stick to Potatos's back but Potatos is turning into Grant. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Grant's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Potatos. Potatos trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Potatos throws a big elbow that misses. That's four minutes gone in the round. Potatos stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Grant swivels though and keeps the full guard. Grant working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Potatos. Potatos slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Potatos trying to control but Grant is working from the bottom. Grant not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Grant is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Potatos is controlling him. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Grant avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Potatos accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Grant keeping moving, preventing Potatos from controlling successfully.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Potatos looks to score with a jab to the body but Grant is just out of range. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Grant's head. Grant slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Potatos postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Potatos's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Potatos throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Grant works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Potatos missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Potatos with a flurry of punches that miss. Grant really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Potatos. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Potatos scoring with punches to the head and body. Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Potatos lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Grant pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Potatos misses with the combination.

Potatos dips to his left and cracks Grant with an uppercut! Potatos blocks a head kick by Grant.
Grant ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Grant takes a swing at Potatos's ribcage but misses. Potatos bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Grant throws a head kick that misses and Potatos counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Potatos scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Potatos connects with the punch. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Potatos smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. Grant looks to score with a jab to the body but Potatos is just out of range. Potatos swings for the body but Grant moves out of range.
Grant takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Potatos fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Potatos swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Grant. Potatos dances in with a quick combination. Grant is being worked over with jabs and crosses. Oooh, a right straight from Potatos snaps Grant's head back. Grant stumbles backwards against the cage. Potatos steps forward and delivers a right cross that connects with Grant's jaw, simultaneously knocking him out and sending his mouthpiece into the crowd! There's a worthy souvenir for the fans. This one is over folks. Grant just didn't come prepared.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:05 of round 3, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Jack Potatos! Jack Potatos retains his heavyweight title! As Jack Potatos got his breath back, he grabbed the microphone and managed to blurt out the following: Ok ...Who's next?:)'.
