Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 9 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Mikhail Filitov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Antonio Bear!
The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Igor Prikhodko and Dmitry Maklakov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bear wants to clinch
and Filitov counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Bear thinking.
Bear is looking to clinch.
Bear fails with an attempt to clinch.
Bear tries to clinch up.
Bear tries to close the distance and clinch up but Filitov swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Filitov dives in and grabs Bear's left leg, looking for a takedown. Bear pushes down on Filitov's head and hops out.
Filitov has a takedown stuffed.
Bear tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Filitov manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Filitov shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Bear pinned against the cage. Bear gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mikhail Filitov. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Bear closes the distance and pushes Filitov back into the cage.

Filitov has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Bear uses from the top position.
Filitov has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

Filitov pushes Bear off and gets back to his feet.
Antonio Bear is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Filitov throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Filitov lands with a nice body punch.
Bear tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Filitov paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Filitov tries to keep at a distance but Bear has taken the fight into the clinch.
Bear throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Filitov blocks it with crossed arms.

Filitov decides to pull guard.
Filitov pulls Bear in close to his closed guard and prevents Bear from doing any damage or advancing position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bear would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Bear wants to stand up, so he's looking to wriggle free of Filitov's closed guard. He's half up but Filitov has locked on to an arm! Uh oh! Filitov pivots and extends the arm, Bear falls face first to the mat and taps??... does he?? YES! He's tapping! Excellent counter grappling there by Filitov! Well done that man!
