These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.

With a record of 9 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Larry Miller!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
I fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Miller lands a right hook to the body.

I moves into the clinch.
I drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

I manages to pull guard.
I tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Miller really doesn't want to stay on the ground with I . If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
I lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Miller!
Miller is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Miller tries to hold on but I pushes him away.

That's one minute gone in the round.
I lands a nice shot to the head.
I has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Miller is squirming around, avoiding I 's attempts to control the action.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Miller tries to lock up and control but I gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
I with good strikes from the mount here!
I landing strikes from the mount.
This has been an exciting period of action!

I has hold of Miller's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Miller manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

I moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Miller has worked his arm free - good work by Miller!

That's two minutes gone in the round.

I thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
I fails to land a wild elbow strike.

I is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Miller knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
I creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Miller sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
I throwing strikes but Miller manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control!

Miller looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
You can see the frustration on I 's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
I gets back to half guard.
Miller tries to stand but his arm is trapped.
I trying to control here.

I actively working from the bottom here.
I gets back to full guard.
I lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Miller!
I looking to ground and pound but Miller is blocking nicely.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Miller is trying desperately to improve position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Datu I dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


I lands with a cross.
I swings and misses with a shot to the body
and Miller counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Miller looks to throw the jab but I is out of range.

I is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Miller's half guard.
Miller is staying active underneath I , who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Miller blocking the ground and pound attempt from I .
I winds up and cracks Miller with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

I is looking for a kimura but Miller is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for I to get the leverage.
Miller won't allow I to pass to mount.

That's one minute gone in the round.

I wants to work for an arm triangle but Miller is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Miller keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. I lands a nice short elbow.

I looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
I works his way into side control.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Miller can't do much from the bottom here.
Miller is not content to let I control the position.
I looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Miller is avoiding damage well.
I tries to advance to mount but can't.
Miller takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
I passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Miller!
A nice elbow there by I .
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
I throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Miller because I loaded up on that one.
I is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Miller can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

I has isolated one of Miller's arms. Miller looking to fight him off but I twists into an armbar. It's tight... Will he tap?? YES, he's tapped! This one is all over!
