Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Murata Shougo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chase Stevens (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shougo throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Shougo throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Stevens tries to clinch but Shougo moves out of range.
Stevens takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Shougo avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Stevens is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Shougo is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Stevens is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Stevens has escaped and now he's on top!

Shougo had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Stevens is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Shougo Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Stevens's back instead.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Shougo is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.
