Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Steve Rockert (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and ZyD XyD Viii (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rockert comes into the arena with Cant be touched blaring out of the sound system. ZyD XyD Viii will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Steve Smith and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rockert tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Rockert moves in looking to clinch but XyD Viii pushes him off.
XyD Viii misses with a head kick.
A nice leg kick lands there from XyD Viii.
Rockert fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with XyD Viii, pushing him back against the cage.
XyD Viii gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.
It looks like Steve Rockert has been cut.
Rockert takes an elbow to the temple.
Rockert lands with a short shot to the head.
XyD Viii lands an elbow inside.
XyD Viii comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.

Rockert jumps guard and drags XyD Viii to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

ZyD XyD Viii is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Rockert is breathing heavily.
XyD Viii thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Rockert if he has to take too many more of those.
XyD Viii fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Rockert has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

XyD Viii feints and then cracks Rockert's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Rockert down.

Rockert is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.

XyD Viii connects with a solid leg kick.
XyD Viii lands with a kick to the temple. Rockert shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

Both fighters circling slowly here as the pace drops. Hopefully one of them does someth.. OOOHHHH!!!! XyD Viii throws an absolute beast of a head kick! Rockert is done! He's out cold, twisted and contorted up against the cage! Wow!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:19 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). ZyD XyD Viii!
A relieved looking ZyD XyD Viii thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
