The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Whyte closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Veli to the mat! Veli manages to get full guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Veli not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Whyte working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Veli's head.
Whyte has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Veli keeping moving, preventing Whyte from controlling successfully.
Veli looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Whyte throwing strikes but missing.
Whyte controls from within his opponent's guard.
Whyte throws an elbow that misses. Veli uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Whyte's guard. Nice move by Veli!

Veli loads up on a big right hand but Whyte slips the punch.

Veli rushes Whyte and presses him up against the cage.
Whyte jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Veli walks away with a smile on his face. Whyte gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Veli lands with a right hand.
It looks like Dana Whyte has been cut.
Veli lands a slapping body shot.
Veli punishes Whyte's body with a nice straight punch.
Veli avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Whyte has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Whyte there as he acknowledges the shot.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Veli scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Veli lands with an overhand left.
A looping hook to the body misses from Veli. Whyte does a little dance to reset his feet.

Veli connects with a crisp jab.
Veli looks to score with a jab to the body but Whyte is just out of range.
Veli Rushes Whyte and starts throwing punches like they are going out of style! Whyte is up against the cage and has nowhere to go. Veli Piles on the pressure and Whyte crumples to the floor! This one is all over!
