Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rojas uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Albrani.
Albrani misses with a wild body shot.
Albrani swinging wildly here.
Albrani pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Rojas back to the cage. Albrani follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.


It looks like Mike Rojas has been cut.

Rojas fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Albrani, pushing him back against the cage.
Rojas tries for a takedown. No joy.
Rojas lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.

Rojas prevents Albrani from breaking the clinch.

Rojas has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Albrani uses from the top position.

Rojas is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Albrani wanted to stand there but Rojas had control of the position.

Rojas pushes Albrani off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
Albrani stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Rojas.

Albrani throws a series of punches but Rojas avoids them all with ease.
Albrani scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

Rojas clinches up with Albrani and pushes him back against the cage.
Rojas tries for a takedown but Albrani manages to get underhooks.
Albrani misses with some punches.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

George Albrani has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mike Rojas.
Albrani has had enough of the clinch but Rojas keeps him there for the moment.

Rojas gets a clinch.
Rojas lands a hook to the side of the head.

Rojas gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Albrani regains guard.

Rojas perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Albrani is looking for a sweep. Rojas is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Rojas is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Albrani is just riding it out for now. Rojas eventually gives up the hold.
Rojas frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Rojas throwing strikes here but Albrani is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

A combination from Albrani does no damage.

Rojas moves into range and clinches up with Albrani.
Albrani tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Rojas's elbow.
Rojas throws an elbow but it's blocked.
Rojas is trying to wear down his opponent with knees to the body.
Albrani is trying to break free.

Rojas's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Rojas has taken the fight to the clinch.
Rojas unloads a knee to the mid-section.
Albrani is defending well against a takedown attempt.

Rojas is pulling down on Albrani's head to control his posture.

Albrani takes a body punch but keeps moving.

Albrani has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

Rojas breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Albrani tries to break the clinch but Rojas is controlling the position.
Rojas prevents Albrani from breaking the clinch.
Rojas wants to take the fight to the mat but Albrani manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

Rojas is trying to drag Albrani to the mat but Albrani just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Albrani is pressed up against the cage. Rojas has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Albrani down to the mat. Albrani avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Mike Rojas seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far.

Rojas has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Albrani off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
Albrani lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Rojas circles away quickly and effectively.
Rojas moves into range and lands a nice body kick.

Rojas closes the distance and pushes Albrani back into the cage.
Albrani misses with the head strike.
Rojas has Albrani pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Albrani manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Albrani wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Albrani tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Rojas is trying to pull guard but Albrani has him pressed against the cage.

Mike Rojas showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!


Albrani misses with a few strikes there.
Rojas throws a head kick that Albrani semi-blocks.

Rojas clinches up against the cage.

Rojas pulls guard effortlessly.
Albrani would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Rojas seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Rojas is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Albrani pushes down on Rojas's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Rojas moves into full guard.
Rojas controls Albrani momentarily but Albrani frees himself.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Rojas takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Albrani wants to stand but Rojas is controlling his posture from full guard.

Albrani stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Rojas swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Mike Rojas.
Rojas slips a jab and a cross from Albrani.
Albrani scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Rojas lands a lovely overhand right.
Albrani throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Rojas counters with a straight right hand.
Rojas fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Rojas clinches.

Albrani looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.

Rojas breaks from the clinch.
Albrani lands with a hook. Rojas tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Albrani misses with a wild combination.

Rojas darts in and clinches Albrani up against the cage.
Rojas lands a shot to the body.

Rojas jumps guard.
Albrani trying to control but Rojas is working from the bottom.

Albrani looking to sit in guard and control but Rojas gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Albrani is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Rojas defends well.

Albrani had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Rojas defends it easily.
George Albrani has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Mike Rojas is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Mike Rojas comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Rojas winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
