The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Albert Achterberg and Aafke Stam.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cage lands a head kick!
Cage connects with a high kick.
The Giant closes the distance and clinches up with Cage, looking for a takedown. The Giant pushes Cage against the cage but Cage circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Cage throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by The Giant.
Cage sizes up The Giant with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
The Giant looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Cage stuffs the takedown.
Johnny Cage has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Andre The Giant.
The Giant closes this distance looking for a takedown but Cage circles away.
Cage jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Cage connects with an inside leg kick.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

The Giant looks gassed!
The Giant takes a shot to the body in his stride.
The Giant fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Cage misses with a double jab.
The Giant misses with a takedown attempt - Cage sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Cage connects with a leg kick. The Giant looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.

Cage lands a front kick.
Cage cracks The Giant with a right hand to the side of the head.
Cage throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by The Giant.
Cage bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Andre The Giant seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Cage swinging wildly here.
Cage lands a leg kick that knocks The Giant off balance momentarily.
Cage throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
It looks like Andre The Giant has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Cage feints and then cracks The Giant's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow The Giant down.
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Cage. The Giant shrugs it off though.
Cage feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to The Giant's calf.
Cage lands a big head kick that sends The Giant tumbling to the mat! Cage takes a step backwards and waves The Giant back to his feet - he wants the finish!
The Giant is still on wobbly legs! Can Cage finish him?

Cage connects with a left and a right that sees a clearly hurt The Giant covering up! Cage comes in with a big uppercut and The Giant goes doooown! He's slumped up against the cage, eyes staring blankly into space.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:07 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Johnny Cage!
Johnny Cage decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
