Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Le Grand Antonio (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tito Ortiz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ortiz is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Break Stuff. Tito Ortiz has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Le Grand Antonio's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Le Grand Antonio!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Tito Ortiz!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Elvis Blanc and Yves DeLean.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ortiz closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Antonio quickly recovers to half guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Ortiz not landing any meaningful shots this time.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ortiz is just content to waste time from the top position. Antonio takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.
Antonio not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Antonio looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Ortiz must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Ortiz missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.

Antonio pulls Ortiz in close to prevent any damage.

Ortiz stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Antonio swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Ortiz avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Antonio has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Ortiz has passed into side control.
Ortiz lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.

Ortiz tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

Ortiz is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Antonio knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Antonio wants to control but Ortiz postures up.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Ortiz connects with a nice short shot to Antonio's temple.

Antonio manages to work his way to half guard, despite Ortiz's best efforts.

Ortiz seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Antonio tries to lock up and control but Ortiz gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Tito Ortiz dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Ortiz takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Antonio shoots in looking for a takedown. Ortiz tries to sprawl out of it but Antonio keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Ortiz manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Ortiz lunges at Antonio with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Antonio's hand.
Antonio gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Ortiz is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Antonio.

Ortiz closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Ortiz decides to stand up, so the ref orders Antonio to his feet.

Antonio shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Ortiz is trying to defend but Antonio finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Antonio is working for an americana but Ortiz has been sneaky and has managed to get back to half guard, whilst Antonio was thinking about the submission.
Ortiz has Antonio pulled in close to control his posture.
Antonio wants to control from the top but Ortiz keeps moving.

Antonio looking to sit in guard and control but Ortiz gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Ortiz lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Ortiz throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Antonio works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
This has been an exciting period of action!

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Antonio is on top in guard.
Antonio has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Ortiz is proving hard to escape from.

Tito Ortiz showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Antonio is desperately trying to improve his position but Ortiz has a good base and remains in mount.
Antonio tries to hold on but Ortiz postures up.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Ortiz cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Ortiz breaks from Antonio's wrist control and lands an elbow.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Antonio is in all sorts of trouble here.

Antonio takes a big shot to the dome and his eyes have rolled back in his head! Ortiz's killer instinct has kicked in as he finishes the fight with more strikes. Impressive finish.

Tito Ortiz was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
