Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the super heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Chael Bravo! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Lazerus Limbtwister! The judges for this bout are , Don Winkell and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bravo misses with a hook. Limbtwister ducked under it nicely. Limbtwister with a lazy takedown attempt and Bravo counters with a straight right hand.
It looks like Lazerus Limbtwister has been cut. Limbtwister misses with a takedown and Bravo counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Limbtwister with a poor takedown and Bravo counters with a stiff right hand. Chael Bravo has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Lazerus Limbtwister. A telegraphed right hand from Bravo misses the target. Limbtwister gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Bravo counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Limbtwister gets a double leg takedown into Bravo's guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Limbtwister looking to control the position here, rather than advance. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Bravo keeping full guard, as Limbtwister tries to pass.
That's one minute gone in the round. Limbtwister trying to control the position from guard on top but Bravo is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Limbtwister preventing the sweep. Bravo is trying to keep Limbtwister in close.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Lazerus Limbtwister hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Limbtwister gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily letting Bravo counter with a right hand. Limbtwister fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Bravo avoids it really well and circles away. Limbtwister shoots in for a double leg but Bravo sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bravo misses with a series of wild punches.
Bravo lands with a hook. Limbtwister tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Bravo throws the left hand but Limbtwister avoids the punch easily. A looping hook to the body misses from Limbtwister. Bravo does a little dance to reset his feet. Limbtwister closes the distance and clinches up with Bravo, looking for a takedown. Limbtwister pushes Bravo against the cage but Bravo circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Limbtwister shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Bravo's guard. Bravo might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Limbtwister is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Bravo looking to control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Limbtwister pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Bravo is keeping the position for now. Bravo keeping moving, preventing Limbtwister from controlling successfully. Bravo is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Bravo looking for a sweep. Not yet Bravo, not yet. Bravo keeping full guard, as Limbtwister tries to pass. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Chael Bravo. Limbtwister fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Limbtwister throws a sloppy body shot
and Limbtwister takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. A telegraphed right hand from Bravo misses the target. Bravo is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Limbtwister shoots for a double leg takedown but Bravo sprawls well. He's pushed Limbtwister's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Good shot there by Bravo. Limbtwister misses with a takedown letting Bravo counter with a right hand. Limbtwister doesn't succeed with the takedown and Bravo counters with a straight right hand.
That has opened up Lazerus Limbtwister's cut even more. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Limbtwister manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Bravo on his heels. He'll look to pass Bravo's guard now, I'm sure. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Bravo is trying to keep Limbtwister in close.

Chael Bravo dominated that round. The cut man is working on Lazerus Limbtwister's cut. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Limbtwister is trying hard to land a takedown here. Bravo sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Bravo stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Bravo wants it to stay on the feet. Chael Bravo is winning the standup battle so far. That's one minute gone in the round. Bravo is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Limbtwister is just riding it out for now. Bravo eventually gives up the hold. Limbtwister actively working from the bottom here. Bravo trying to mount his opponent but Limbtwister defends it. Bravo wants to control but Limbtwister is keeping him busy. Bravo knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Limbtwister on the ground. Limbtwister looking for submissions off his back. Bravo wants to take a breather but Limbtwister is having none of it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Limbtwister won't allow Bravo to pass to mount. Bravo is keen to just control but Limbtwister is a slippery customer. Limbtwister slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Limbtwister is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Bravo defends well. Limbtwister trying to keep a closed guard but Bravo is proving a slippery customer.

Bravo has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Limbtwister keeping full guard, as Bravo tries to pass. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Limbtwister has his foot on Bravo's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Bravo works his way back into a safe position though.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Limbtwister is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Bravo wants to control from the top but Limbtwister keeps moving. Bravo seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Bravo trying to control the position from guard on top but Limbtwister is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Limbtwister has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Bravo can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Bravo sitting in guard here, content to control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Limbtwister working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Bravo doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Bravo manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Limbtwister looking for a guillotine here but Bravo defends easily.
Limbtwister keeping moving, preventing Bravo from controlling successfully. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Limbtwister is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Bravo frees his head nicely. Oh but Limbtwister has switched to an armbar! Bravo is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:57 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle Armbar). Lazerus Limbtwister! Lazerus Limbtwister is the new super heavyweight champion! After winning the bout, Lazerus Limbtwister thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
