Bonjasky has chosen LP - Hit the floor as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Remy Bonjasky!
The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Vladimir Khabensky and Ivan Kurochkin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bonjasky shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Silva defends it nicely.
Bonjasky fails with a takedown attempt.
A solid leg kick lands there for Silva.
Bonjasky avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Bonjasky throws a leg kick that misses.
Silva throws a nice inside leg kick.
Bonjasky scores with the left hand. Silva knows he should have avoided that one.

Silva has closed the distance and engaged Bonjasky in a clinch.

Bonjasky stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Silva.

Bonjasky goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Silva rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Bonjasky's guard! Nice work there by Silva!

Silva feints and then cracks Bonjasky's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Bonjasky down.

Bonjasky's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.
Silva pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Bonjasky is working for takedown but Silva is calmly controlling the position for now.
Silva wants to break free but Bonjasky has control.

Bonjasky shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Silva but Silva pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Silva, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
