Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Buhawi Jack (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mick Spanner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Spanner comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Seven Drunken Nights - The Dubliners kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Buhawi Jack has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Buhawi Jack! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Mick Spanner! The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Konstantin Menshow and Illya Tyunina.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jack fails with a takedown attempt. Horrible takedown by Jack or perhaps it was just good defense by Spanner which made him look bad. Spanner misses with a jab, cross combination.
Spanner shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Spanner showed some decent athleticism there. Jack moves into full guard.
Spanner postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Spanner trying to control the position from guard on top but Jack is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Jack is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Spanner stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Jack swivels though and keeps the full guard. Jack has an active guard here but Spanner has managed to pass into half guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Spanner working Jack over with strikes.
That's one minute gone in the round. Spanner slips a nice elbow through Jack's hands, connecting with Jack's forehead. Spanner is nestled in close to Jack, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Spanner lands strikes from half guard. Spanner lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
It looks like Buhawi Jack has been cut. Jack manages to get to full guard.
Jack had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Spanner defends it easily. Spanner is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Spanner scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Jack working for a triangle but Spanner defends it easily.
Spanner postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Spanner lands a couple of decent looking shots.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Spanner working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.
Buhawi Jack's cut is getting worse. Jack had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Spanner defends it easily. Spanner scoring with punches to the head and body.
Buhawi Jack's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it. Spanner preventing the sweep. Spanner postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Spanner trying to control the position from guard on top but Jack is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Spanner with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Jack looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Spanner lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Spanner is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Jack looking for a guillotine here but Spanner defends easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jack looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Spanner passes into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Spanner lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Jack is looking for a sweep. Spanner is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Spanner is keen to just control but Jack is a slippery customer. Ground and pound from Spanner.
Jeez, Buhawi Jack's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Buhawi Jack's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Mick Spanner! After the fight, Mick Spanner was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
