Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jason Hardy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Steve Fox (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fox is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Rammstein - Sonne (Clawfinger K.O. remix). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jason Hardy! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Steve Fox! The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Ivan Kurochkin and Dmitry Maklakov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Fox lands a nice shot that snaps Hardy's head back.
Fox lands a jab-cross combination. Hardy closes the distance and pushes Fox back into the cage. Fox lands with a good tight uppercut to the head. Fox tries to throw a body punch but Hardy avoids it by throwing Fox back against the cage. Hardy is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Fox is defending well. Fox is trying to force a seperation but Hardy has the dominant position. Hardy throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges. Hardy tries to circle away but Fox has him pinned against the cage. Hardy breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Hardy shoots for a double leg takedown but Fox sprawls well. He's pushed Hardy's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Hardy tries to close the distance and clinch up but Fox swats him away and circles back towards the center. Fox lands a two punch combo.
That's one minute gone in the round. Fox works Hardy's body with a nice hook. Hardy fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Fox sprawls well initially but Hardy persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Fox looks like he's trying to stand up.
Hardy lands strikes from half guard. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Fox can do anything to dispel that myth. Hardy trying to pass the guard but Fox defending well. Hardy looks to land a strike but Fox avoids it nicely and regains full guard. Fox wants to stand and escape but Hardy is having none of it. Hardy in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hardy tries to free his leg and advance position but Fox is retaining full guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Hardy lands a couple of digs. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Hardy is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Hardy distracts Fox with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Hardy throws a big elbow that misses. Hardy slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Hardy takes a little break here. Fox wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well. Fox wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! Hardy just content to control the position. Fox really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hardy. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hardy is working Fox over with some ground and pound from side control. Hardy has hold of Fox's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Fox tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Hardy cranks the arm and Fox screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Fox, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:32 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Jason Hardy! Jason Hardy decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
